Leave Out All The Rest

Some news are hard to swallow sometimes. You wish those news are fake news and everything would remain as used to be.

But July 20, you and I wish this day would never come.

On this very day, we woke up with a very sad and shocking news that Chester Bennington, the lead from Linkin Park commited suicide.

Not to say a very big fan of them but Linkin Park and Chester specifically is the voice of my pre-teen days. Chester is the voice that resonates my innocent pre-teen days. When it comes to my teenage days, Linkin Park got to be one of my fondest memories. Everyone was awed by their unique talent and remarkable lead  voice by Chester.

Chester along with the band defines an era in my life. They defined an era in many fans' lives. With every one of those songs, with every one of those lyrics, Chester made misunderstood teenagers worldwide feel understood, validated, and seen in a way their parents, friends, or authority figures couldn't see them.

One of my favourite songs from Linkin Park is Leave Out All The Rest.

When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest

This song is like his last message to all of us before he left, so it seems. We will never resent you as you with the band had given us an exceptional entertainment. And of course, we will keep you in our memory and leave out all the rest.

Have a good rest, Chester.

Tale As Old As Time

After much commotion, Beauty and The Beast is not showing in Malaysia after all.

Though our Censorship Board has given its green light to screen movie after removing the gay scene but Disney decided to pulls the movie entirely from Malaysian distribution.

Before proceed further, below is the controversial gay scene. If you don't want to turn to gay or somehow you're just plain homophobic, please don't click play:

OMG, you're gay now! Yay! Bring in the rainbow and unicorn!

To be honest, I'm really disappointed that I don't have a chance to watch this movie. Beauty and The Beast is my favourite Disney classic. I watched like thousand of times when I was small. I remember there was a rerun in 3D in silver screen couple years back and I watched that too. The dancing scene was simply magical. This remake is like the most anticipated movie for me but it has been shelved off.

Though really disappointed but I could not agree more with Disney decision.

Like seriously, cutting out the gay scene doesn't make any difference. Gay people will still be gay with or without watching that gay scene. Gay and LGBTQA+ are is part of our society whether you like it or not. Removing the scene will not remove us from the society. Removing the scene will not make us silent, in fact, it will make us louder.

I really don't get it. The Imitation Game, starred by Benedict Cumberbatch, was able to make the cut in which the main actor is gay! Let me break it down what is gay; all the Apple products are gay because Tim Cook is gay. Facebook is gay since one of the co-founder Chris Hughes is gay. PayPal is gay since Peter Thiel, co-founder is gay. Don't wear Michael Kors, he's gay. D&G gay. Armani gay.

You see, you can't escape, we are everywhere!

One of the reasons that Disney is adamant with its decision, aside in supporting LGBTQA+, I guess this movie is a tribute to Howard Ashman and Disney did not want to ruin the story who meant so much for Ashman. So who is this Howard Ashman?

Apparently, the all time classic Beauty and The Beast by Disney was inspired by the AIDS epidemic. Lyricist Howard Ashman was behind some of the most moerable songs for the 1991 movie. And it turned out he has a powerful message about acceptance that may have gone unnoticed at the time.

According to an interview with Bill Condon, who directed the new live-action Beauty and the Beast, the original animated movie was partially inspired by Ashman's own battle with AIDS. The movie originally revolved much closely around Belle. But Ashman, who was just diagnosed with AIDS before product began, thought Beast needed more of a storyline.

For Ashman, this movie was a metaphor for AIDS. Ashman was cursed and this curse had brought sorrow on all those people who loved him and maybe there was a chance for a miracle and a way for the curse to be lifted.

Not only did Ashman shape the movie's romantic storyline but it was also his idea to make the movie a musical.

Ashman's struggles as a gay man living with AIDS in the early 90s can be heard in some of his lyrics.

"Kill the Beast" reflects the fear many people had toward people living with the disease and the alienation he felt as a result.

The lyric goes:

"We don't like what we don't understand, in fact it scares us, and this monster is mysterious at least. Bring your guns, bring your knives, save your children and your wives, we'll save our village and our lives. We'll kill the beast".

Ashman passed away on March 14, 1991. Just 4 days after the first screening of Beauty and the Beast. He won two posthumous Grammy awards. One of them was for his work on the song "Beauty and the Beast".

Ashman may also be behind Condon's decision to include an openly gay character.

Well, we shall move on and honor Disney's decision who has been supporting us. Let's reminisce our childhood once again with this beautiful song by Ashman:

City of Stars

[Spoiler Alert]

The movie is so good that I need to blog about it.

Yes, I'm talking about La La Land and they have swept seven awards at Golden Globes including Best Actor and Actress in Musical or A Comedy.

I really enjoyed the movie from the beginning until the end. Trust me, I hate musical movie but La La Land is not merely a musical movie, I see it as a romantic movie. And I just love how the movie recaptured the essence of Hollywood golden era and they blended it so well into our modern time.

And of course, Ryan Gosling was such a charmer in the movie. To be honest with you, this is the first time I watched his movie and yes, I never watched The Notebook.

Did you cry at the end of La La Land?

For me, I didn't. I was rather shocked that Mia and Sebastian didn't get together in the end (the audience at the cinema went nut and shouted "NO!!!!"). But the director did give an alternate ending if both Mia and Seb were together. And the moment when Mia woke up from her imagination that flashed in the alternate ending, it just saddened me because they never got together in the end. It was even more painful to see Seb to play "City of Stars" in front of Mia.

I guess that's life. Life never promises rainbow, unicorn and cupcakes.

I could relate quite well in this movie. I see my relationships or those almost-in-a-relationship will never have its happy ending. I'm not being a pessimistic but rather I accept the fate unless someone proves me otherwise.

There's nothing you can do when the relationship is at the end of the road. Just let it go and wish your partner nothing but the best. After your partner has ended relationship with you, he or she will pursue his/her dream and eventually and definitely your former partner will find a new partner.

If you know me well, there was one special person would always have my place in my heart. Nah, we never an item though I really wished too. Anyway, I forgot when it was but I bumped into them once. When I saw them together like so happily, the best thing to do was wish them well but my mind couldn't help to flash the moments that we would have if we were together.

Don't bother.

Anyway, it is a great movie and it will be an Oscar buzz definitely. And of course, don't expect a happy ending in this movie.

The Sexiest Boys Alive in 2016

To continue the tradition of my blog every end of the year, here we go, The Sexiest Boys Alive in 2016.

The list is based on the votes from the readers. Joking. I doubt anyone is reading my blog.

And my gosh, I've been doing this for fifth time annually without any fail. Time really flies as it is like only yesterday I was writing for The Sexiest Boys Alive in 2015.

Okay I thought too much here. Okay, okay, stop rushing me, just scroll down for the boys!

Timmy and Johnny a.k.a Bai Luo Ying and Gu Hai - I bet you guys were literally addicted by the series Addicted / Heroine. There were many reasons why we like this series. The storyline was good. The gay couples in this series were so romantic until it melted our hearts. Really, both of them are not only good looking but also they are like match-made in heaven!

Shawn Mendes - Stitches are no longer "painful" term. Instead, people want to receive stitches, from Shawn Mendes of course. Mendes is slowly coming up and I hope he would be the next Canadian sensation after Justin Bieber. You have to agree with me that he sings much more better than Bieber. And he is way hotter than Bieber too!

Calvin Harris - I never knew how he looked like until he was hooked up with Taylor Swift. And my gosh, he is such a hottie! And he could spin my disc anytime! Sadly, he is one of the cock-whoring girl victims. But it's okay. It shouldn't be an issue for hottie like him to find a replacement.

Tom Hiddleston - Another Tay Tay's ex. I'm such a big fan of him and like you and me, we were shocked and devastated when he was dating with that woman. But thank god that they went into Splitville.

Tom Daley - Just look at him, isn't he adorable. I chose him this year to be in the list because he has that sunshine smile that could really cheer you up. Awwww

Fattah Amin - We've got to give some credit to Malaysians. Fattah Amin has taken Malaysia's entertainment scene by storm. He acted as a pilot in Suri Hati Mr. Pilot. Yes, with his good look in pilot attire, simply perfect.

Ezra Miller - Don't know who is he? He is Credence in Fantastic Beast. You never knew he is so good looking right? And yes, he is one of us!

Nicholas Hoult - Beast in X-men and Boy Nux in Mad Max. He is not the cutest among the cutest but he has that charming aura, don't you think?

Gotta Catch 'Em All

It has been more than a month ever since the Pokemon Go craze swept all over Malaysia.

I wasn't a fan of Pokemon before this and aside of Pikachu, I didn't even know other Pokemon characters. But ever since I played Pokemon Go, I could nail like 90 per cent of the characters.

A month plus gone and I'm at level 21 with 101 Pokemon caught thus far. Not that bad right?

I know the craze is slightly dying. When you reach higher level and 60-70 percent of the Pokemon, there's nothing more you can catch. And the super rare Pokemon characters are really hard to be caught.

What about the gym?

You could hardly go into gym as errors happen most of the time.

But then again, we still have this undying spirit of "Gotta Catch 'Em All". It feels so satisfying everytime a new Pokemon added into the Pokedex.

So where is the best place to catch Pokemon?

Definitely, Taman Jaya which is just opposite Amcorp Mall. Pikachu is like running wild there! Aside from Pikachu, you can find Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle and Magikarp there as well.

In any given moment, three to four Pikachu could appear!

They are not zombies but they are human flocking at Taman Jaya just to
catch Pikachu. It seems an animated Pikachu could do the job better in uniting
people compared to political propangda :)

I caught so many Pikachu there til I could even evolve it into Raichu!

Playing Pokemon Go is more than a game, for me. Really, it could strengthen your ties with your family members or with your friends. Though it is annoying to see people got so engaged with their phones and block your way or even walking zombies which walking slowly in a group but they are completing a mission together. I even bumped into my long lost friends plenty of time while playing this game.

In addition to strengthen your ties, playing Pokemon Go could really entice you to get out from comfort of your home and visit the public places and parks. It's time to do the walking to hatch the eggs.

The ever so beautiful Dataran Merdeka
For the first time in my entire life, I stepped into Merdeka Square and I felt like a tourist from afar. It is a huge square indeed when you need to walk from one end to another end to catch Pokemon. But beware of the sprinkles there - please don't get wet. Plenty of Charmender there. Some said, Snorlax appears there sometimes. I didn't have any luck for Snorlax but I caught the rare Hitmonchan.

Soaring high

Central Park Bandar Utama
1Utama is great place to catch Pokemon but sadly, the reception could be bad sometimes. The rare Pokemon I ever caught there was Ponyta and Seadra. You can go out to Central Park outside of 1Utama - Magikarp and Shellder are aplenty there. And since it's a dog-friendly park, you can play with the dogs too - not Growlithe, real dogs I'm talking about.

Taman Tun Park, TTDI
Nothing much here - if you need candies for Psyduck and Magikarp, please visit this park.
Setia Walk Puchong
It's like a nest for Magikarp here. If you need to collect 400 Magikarp candies, please drop by here. Even if you're inside the restaurant, Magikarp could appear on your food!

But then again, as we are engaging with Pokemon Go, please don't neglect the people who do not play like our grandma and grandpa. Ditch your phone for awhile and spend time with them. I know rare Pokemon is hard to come by but you only have your grandparents once in a lifetime.

Good night every one and Gotta Catch 'Em All!

VITAGEN Empowers Akademi Fantasia 2016 Contestants’ Transformation from Within

VITAGEN, Malaysia’s first and No. 1 cultured milk drink is a key sponsor of Akademi Fantasia (AF) 2016 as it sets out to transform contestants from within to boost their health, and help them manage the considerable stress they will face in their quest for stardom.

The AF reality singing competition is well-loved and highly rated, like VITAGEN. Contestants, who are termed as students at the Academy, are coached and groomed to make it in the entertainment industry. Among the successful graduates of AF who have gone on to carve significant careers in the Malaysian entertainment arena are Vince Chong, Mawi, Stacy, Akim, Marsha Londoh, Shahir and many more.

The live telecast of AF2016’s weekly concerts will air exclusively on Astro Ria (104) and simulcast on Astro Ria HD (123) every Sunday at 9.00pm from Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA) Auditorium from August 21st, 2016. The daily students’ diary, Diari AF2016 will also be shown on both channels at 6.30pm from Monday to Friday.

VITAGEN will be directly involved in promoting better gut health through fitness and better nutrition, through a healthy living and fitness segment every Tuesday with Coach Cem, a well-known fitness consultant.

Similar to AF’s dominance in promoting new singing talent, VITAGEN has led the way in championing good gut health among Malaysians through education and awareness activities, over the past 40 years.  From school programs, the annual Healthy Digestion Walk and more, VITAGEN has become part of daily Malaysian health and wellness.

VITAGEN’s long-term championing of gut health through its Good Gut Health Awareness campaign is based on research on the role of good bacteria in health, and the beneficial effects of cultured milk with live good bacteria on rebalancing gut flora.

Good health begins from the gut. When we are healthy inside, it shows on the outside.
Good gut flora promotes normal gastrointestinal function, provides protection from infection, regulates metabolism and comprises more than 70% of our immune system.

The human gut or digestive system is home to approximately 100,000,000,000,000 (100 trillion) microorganisms, and contains 10 times more bacteria than all the human cells in the entire body, with over 400 known diverse bacterial species.

Many diseases and even stress, seemingly unrelated to our digestive system are actually caused by gut problems. Understanding how the gut works and how to look after it is essential to our health.
VITAGEN contains billions of good bacteria that aid the absorption of nutrients from food and stimulates a stronger immune system. It also assists in suppressing the growth of harmful bacteria, reducing the risk of intestinal disturbances for optimal digestive health.

For the contestants of AF2016, their journey to fame will be a reflection of the Malaysian dream, with these young women and men being filmed and followed around the clock during the two-month duration of the show. The stress and tribulations that they go through will reflect what every Malaysian experiences.

According to VITAGEN’s Deputy General Manager, Mr. Michael Ong the brand is delighted to be working with Akademi Fantasia, due to the many similarities between the two, and the opportunity to reach more people with positive and motivating messages on good gut health, through consuming VITAGEN, better nutrition and fitness.

“The Akademi Fantasia 2016 sponsorship is another extension of our Good Gut Health Awareness campaign. To fortify our brand value of being the good gut expert, VITAGEN is assisting the transformation from within of these contestants for better overall wellness throughout the competition, helping them realise their dreams to be the next superstar.”

VITAGEN’s Good Gut Health Awareness campaign promotes a healthy gut through a five-step approach of consuming live active cultured milk drinks, walking at least 30 minutes daily, consuming 3 to 5 servings of fibre from fruits and veggies, adequate sleep of at least seven to eight hours a day and stress busting strategies.

“We realised that the contestants in AF2016 go through tremendous stress, lack of sleep, demotivation and even unhealthy dietary habits that could jeopardise their gut health. This is why we have stepped in to provide them with professional coaching on good gut health, fitness and nutrition through Coach Cem. By watching how these talented individuals navigate the high-stress conditions, while practising good gut health habits can motivate more viewers to make an important change to their lifestyles. Good health does indeed start with a healthy gut,” said Mr. Ong.

“Our tasty cultured milk drink with live good bacteria will be freely available to them, round the clock, to help them in managing their stress levels through better gut health by rebalancing their good gut bacteria.”

In conjunction with AF2016, VITAGEN will be conducting on-ground promotions at selected retail outlets nationwide including a money-can’t-buy experience – walking the red carpet at the AF2016 finale for two lucky winners and their partners. The winner of this social media contest can have the chance to meet and greet with the AF2016’s champion.

Addicted to Heroin

Gay community in Malaysia, I presume rest of Asia was literally melted by the love and romance from Gu Hai and Bai Luo Yin / Yin Zhi. All the sweet words in the world seem futile to describe how loving these couples are.

I've watched many gay themed movies and series and this China's gay webseries Addicted / Heroin tops it all. At least, this series brings us a happy ending in which most of gay people are hopelessly looking for.

My bud was sick of me since I always yelling out "Bai Luo Yin" all the time whenever I met him. So I dared him to watch this series. And to my surprise, he spent almost four hours to finish the 15-episode of  Addicted / Heroin. And now whenever I meet him, for every 10 minutes, he will say with all his sweetness "Gu Hai!!" Another addicted victim.

There are many reasons why many gay folks like me got addicted by this love story.

Foremost, they are good looking. Good looking as in not those commercial type kinda good looking but the ordinary handsome men you will bump into on the street. That's why their looks could really connect to us.

Secondly, Gu Hai, Gu Hai and Gu Hai - the one who looks and acts like a top. I must say the way he treats Yin Zhi is exceptional and definitely you would be envious of Yin Zhi. To share with you, Yin Zhi is really my type but if I was given an opportunity to choose a boyfriend, definitely Gu Hai. Even there's a person who treats me half as good as Gu Hai, I will marry him. Not joking, some of my friends and even me got tears in our eyes just to watch the way Gu Hai treats Yin Zhi. He touches our hearts indeed.

My favourite scene?

Gonna be roof top scene in which Gu Hai consoled Yin Zhi who was crying badly after his father has moved on with his new wife. Just admit it, you also cried when you watching that scene right? It was so much love when Yin Zhi was crying on Gu Hai's embrace.

The other one was Gu Hai forced Yin Zhi to call him "husband"......awwww.... that scene was very very very sweet.

Forward to 2.40, 11.20

Forward to 2.00, 18.00

Forward to 1.35!!

Thirdly, the script. My friends who understand Chinese said the script is superb. Well, I don't know Chinese but by just reading the English subtitle, it already melted me.

Fourthly, the series bring gay folks like me to believe in love again. You see, gay people live in superficial world but looking at Gu Hai and Yin Zhi, it gives us confidence that true love still exits in this community though we know the chances are very low.

Please watch it before some people take it down from the Internet. Just don't understand some people who label us morally wrong to practice gay lifestyle but are they morally right to judge and discriminate us for accepting who we are? Remember only God can judge us.

Anyway, please don't watch Addicted / Heroin if you want to sleep early and have a clear mind without any Gu Hai and Yin Zhi traces playing in your mind lol...

Here's a trailer and let's start the addiction :

Something I Like About CNY

It's scary to know that tomorrow will be the last day of Chinese New Year celebration, right?

15 days of celebration comes to an end tomorrow. So how was your celebration this year?

Maybe I'm ageing that's why the celebration has become mundane, more like lack of fun. But at least, I really enjoyed my very long break and I did spend some quality time with my family.

Though it was mundane but there were few things that I really about this festive season this year:

Chinese New Year Movies Marathon:

Without fail, I'll watch almost every CNY movies in the cinema with my parent. It is really heartwarming sight to see when you see the younger generation brings their elders to watch a movie. It really signifies that we have grown up enough to pay for movie tickets and usher our parents to cinema hall. I still remember vividly that I was in my dad's mom to watch Stephen Chow's CNY movies but now I was the one who held her hand to cinema hall.

Talking about CNY movies, which one is your favourite this year?

For me, it's Mermaid. Not because it is Stephen Chow's movie but at least this comedy movie has its storyline and further brings awareness to our environment. Compared to From Vegas To Macau III, my gosh, I didn't know what the heck was going on. No storyline and the jokes were very very lame. And I wasn't entertained by the robots at all.

Don't you think Hong Kong Chinese New Year movies are getting lamer? Even our local Ola Bola could beat them easily. What happen to those golden era of Hong Kong movies in the 90s?

Thank God, TV had made the rerun of the old Hong Kong comedy movies. Thought I watched like 20 times but I still found it very funny. If i watch another 20 times, I will still find it very funny. The jokes and the acting skills of the veteran actors/actresses are simply timeless. Who could ever forget movies below:

It's A Mad Mad World

All's Well, Ends Well Too

All's Well, Ends Well

Journey To The West

Food:

I don't know how many animals that I've killed for this festive season. I shouldn't complain much since it was a blessing there were food on the table during Chinese New Year. Let's see what I had for CNY:

Yee Sang! I had it twice this year
My reunion dinner. Kudos to my mom and aunties who worked very hard for this very special meal. My favourite dish on the dining table definantely gonna be Sambal Petai, it was the bomb! Anyhow, it is not how many dishes nor what dishes are served but the people who eat with you at dining table during reunion table that counts
Look at the Tiger Prawns~!

My family is rather unorthodox since most of the dinner during CNY were western food. So we went to my mom's favourite American Pizza place in Ipoh, MichaelangelO Pizzeria in Ipoh Garden East. It's still the best pizza place I ever been.

Not forgetting CNY tidbits especially nga ku!
Check out the price of Empurau fish! Named as 'Unforgettable' in Chinese, apparently it's the most expensive edible fish in Malaysia
Caramelised Roasted Pork at Vimtry, Damansara. I know it sounds deathly but it is really nice!
Lychee Cheese Cake - the amount of cheese and lychee are just perfect for taste buds

Since I was in Ipoh, it would be a great waste if I didn't have my hometown local food right like Mixed Fruits Ice in Tong Sui Kai near Sam Tet

And Wern Tou Long - only in Ipoh. It's a shaved ice with lemon with jelly at the bottom. Great way to relinquish your thirst

Friend Yeung Lui - succulent fried fish paste stuffed in varied manner at Big Tree Root, Pasir Pinji. It's a must have everytime I'm back in Ipoh
Of course, the cafes in Ipoh. I know Ipoh is very famous for its cafes (i think 30 over cafes to try out) but I only been to 10 or so. And the latest one was Petit Mary Patisserie. If you like a princessesy and homey ambience, this is the place for you!

Great ambience at the grea hotel of M Boutique, Station 18. Myth Esspresso Bar is the place to be if you want to have long evening chat with your friends. I think i spent two hours gossiping and bitching there :)

The good old Ipoh, never loses its charm

Mundane right? Well, the quality time spent with family and friends matter. Furthermore, the celebration for my family this year had been toned down since my grandparents passed away last year.

This pretty sums up my Chinese New Year celebration. See you again in January 28, 2017! Once again, have a blessed Year of Monkey!

Out of The Woods

Yes, I'm talking about Taylor Swift.

Monday was worth of celebration for all the swifties out there as she won the coveted Grammy's Album Of The Year for her album 1989. And below is her acceptance speech:

Powerful right?

Somehow her acceptance speech is so motivating. Along the way, there were people who belittled me since I was a rather a quiet person so they would take me for granted and left me defenceless. I might be somewhat naive but once I believed in myself and treated people with all the kindness - these people had spurred me to what I am today. I may have not achieve the fortunes or the numbers but at least I know myself is stronger than before.

Back to Taylor, I guess I no need to mention her achievements and accolades she garnered throughout her career. She is like the most successful singer of our time.

Let's flip the other side of the coin and check out her personal life. Her personal life inspired me somehow.

How?

First, can you recall the list of her ex-boyfriends? - John Mayer, Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas among any others.

Aside from Mayer, all her exes are hotties and cutie pies. I'm not sure she is a terrible lover that's why she changed boyfriend/date as if she changed her clothes. People changing boyfriends/dates are often labeled as whores but not in Taylor Swift case. Everyone still sees her as the girl from next door and even a role model.

So let's apply her changing boyfriend habit into our reality. Can't or can do?

I guess most of us will refrain ourselves from changing our dates and boyfriends since we don't people to see us whores. Come on it's not that way should be.

Just make yourself as attractive like Taylor Swift. I know it sounds superficial but this is our sad reality. People look things at the surface. If you look good, people will take notice of you and even chasing after you.

Once you have the physical asset, you can date any guy that you want just like Taylor. I don't understand people who have the asset tend to play safe and see the flow. Trying to be a good boy?

Being a goodie will not bring you any good as they say, nice guy finish last and you don't have a damn certification for being a good boy. Try out with the potential people in your life. If things could not work out, just move on with your life and get a new one. Play it smart.

Just look at Taylor, in the end look who she able to grab? Calvin Harris and he is the hottest DJ in this planet.

Aside from the hot ex-boyfriends, Taylor has an entourage of hot chicks that accompany her for events. And those hot chicks are her bffs. Selena Gomez, Emma Stone, Lorde (not hot), Ellie Goulding and the list goes on.

Once you have the beautiful physical assets, naturally, you will be surrounded by people who have beautiful assets also.

I want to make disclaimer here, the above statement doesn't reflect me at all since I don't have the assets. Friends wise, I'm surrounded by beautiful people with beautiful heart. Maybe they sympathize me as I'm the ugly one.

Alright, it's rather late here. Before I end my note, get out from the woods and step into the success, the beauty and the fame of Taylor Swift.

Bowie: Music, Art and Fashion Icon

On first day of this year, we lost beloved daughter of the legendary Nat King Cole. Never knew, ten days after, we lost another beloved and a legend in entertainment industry.

David Bowie died today after lost his battle against cancer. He was 69.

Bowie has redefined glam in glam rock. This rock n roll chameleon was a lot more than just outrageous make-up and glittery clothes. His persona and his genius in music had inspired many artistes yesteryears and today.

LGBT community especially gay men has every reason to mourn for this loss. He was among the first artiste who came out as gay. It was 1972, after five years Britain decriminalized homosexuality.

Elton John and Freddie Mercury were still in the closet. Meanwhile Boy George and George Michael were still at school during his time. He was among the first to defy gender boundaries, subverting everything that men were supposed to be with his characters and costumes.

He was labeled as "gender bender". He has always been an icon for all of us who felt straitjacketed by having to be straight or acting like a man by conforming to any imposed definition of gender or sexual orientation. He was the one who inspired us to  defy this imposed definition and be comfortable with ourselves no matter how people judge us.

I guess David Bowie will stage a rock concert with Freddie Mercury in heaven soon. Rest in peace for both legends.

2015 : Bitter

As self-define in title, 2015 is indeed a very bitter year for me.

In April this year, I've lost my beloved grandmother who lost her battle against cancer. Barely two months thereafter, my grandfather discovered that he had cancer. The discovery came too late and he was too old to undergo any surgery. Not even six months after my grandma left, my grand dad passed away in September. In between that, another loved one of mine had left, he was my second ex.

This year also, I've ended my relationship with my partner. It will be pointless if we want to play blame game here. I believe each party has to take responsibility and initiative to make a relationship work. It was a mutual decision. I decided to let go because he deserves better and I'm not the person for him. I know that I can't give him happiness. So it will be pointless to waste each other time.

Aside from bitterness, to sum up, I've been living in my memories throughout the year, unfortunately.

The memories in the past will always be beautiful, am I right? Since it is so beautiful, inadvertently, we tend to go back to the past. The memories will lead us without realisation. If you find happiness in your past and if you are able to regain happiness in front of you, then I'll be very happy for you.

Though my happiness is in my memories, but I know i will never regain it. Happiness will never favour me anymore.

But on lighter note, I'm delighted that four of my girl pals got married this year. I have watched them how they fell in love. It really warmed my heart when I saw them walked along the aisle in their wedding gown. I hope my day will come eventually, oh well.

It's already late. Sleep early and gear up for the countdown tomorrow alright? Who am I kidding? I don't even have plan nor date for my New Year countdown. I guess it's okay. I can watch the fireworks from my window pane.

Happy New Year everyone and I can't wait for this shitty year to end!

I know I will end my last entry of the year with my favourite song for entire year. But 2015 is a great year for music. So it's pretty hard for me to select one song for this year. So to be fair to everyone, let's rewind the popular songs of 2015 by Youtube itself:

The Sexiest Boys Alive 2015

I hate it. I hate to write this entry because it serves as reminder that I'm getting older.

But since it's a yearly legacy, so let's continue of what I've been doing for past four years.

Ladies and Gentlemen, without any delay, it's a great honour for me to present you, The Sexiest Boys Alive in 2015.

Taron Egerton - Taron who? The cute Eggsy in the movie Kingsman. Who doesn't like this 26 year-old lad from UK. I don't have any fondness towards white men but I literally got crush on him. He's handsome, boyish and the trait i like the most, sense of humour. I guess James Bond may have a little bit of competition now.

Paul Rudd - Who ever thought a tiny ant could make into the list this year. Yes, only Rudd can with his blockbuster movie hit Antman. You will be glad to know that this cutie pie will be reprising the character in Captain America: Civil War in 2016.

Justin Trudeau - We have many reason to envy Canadians. In addition to its peaceful and developed status of the country, the maple leaf country has a very hot and sexy Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. Compared to ours, wait a minute, it will be a disgrace for us to put him next to Justin. Good on you, Canada!

Chris Pratt - I know I featured him in last year's list but his stardom doesn't seem to fade away ever since Guardian of The Galaxy. He even made it bigger this year with Jurassic World. We will see a lot of him in Guardian of The Galaxy 2, The Avengers 3 and 4, Lego The Movie 2 and Jurassic World 2. I hope he doesn't have mental breakdown since he's too good not to be missed.

Ki Hong Lee - Last year, I featured Dylan O'Brien since he was such a cutie in The Maze Runner 1. For the sequel this year, I'm afraid I have to shift the focus to his friend, Minho (real name Ki Hong Lee) - he really stole the limelight in Scorch Trials. But sadly, he's already married  :(

Charlie Puth - It's been a long day without you my friend - I guess you are sick of this song but not the talent and look of Charlie. Don't you think he is so boyishly cute?! He nailed three Grammy nominations with the coveted Song Of The Year. Let's wish him all the best!

Joseph Gordon-Levitt - Did you watch The Walk? It is like one of the best movies in 2015. Aside from the beautiful storyline based on Phillipe Petit, Joseph's acting skill is par excellence. This 34-year old hottie had come a long way ever since 3rd Rock from The Sun. In 2016, we will see him as the controversial Edward Snowden in the movie Snowden. Really can't wait.

Eddie Redmayne - I don't think anyone deserve an Oscar except Eddie this year (glad that he won Best Actor). His portrayal of Stephen Hawking was simply surreal! Oscar buzz is running that he will grab Best Actor for second consecutive year for his breakthrough transsexual character in the movie Danish Girl. I'm sorry, Leo.

Miles Teller - I know Fantastic Four is a flop but you have to give some credits to Teller beyond this floppy movie. He was handpicked by non other than Nicole Kidman for the movie Rabbit Hole in 2010. He also acted in Whiplash which garnered scores of nominations from The Academy.

Sam Claflin - Sam who? Okay, Finnick from The Hunger Games. I think he is way hotter than Liam Hemsworth. Just check out his body in the movie, it's a killer! But sad to say, he's already married :(

There you have it folks. Take the 10 hottest men above and start the new year with a bang! :)
